Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club Brewster, MA Brewster, MA Full-time Full-time $90,000 - $100,000 a year $90,000 - $100,000 a year Director of Restaurants Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club on Cape Cod is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Director of Restaurants.
This position organizes and directs the activities of the resort's food and beverage outlets to ensure the highest standards of food and beverage quality, service, and marketing to deliver consistent, outstanding guest experience while achieving financial objectives.
Responsibilities Include:
Oversee all aspects of the guest experience and operational performance of six Bars/Restaurants, In Room Dining and Employee Dining.
Lead all F&B team members to achieve restaurant and beverage operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; determining system improvements and implementing change.
Develop and implement operating schedules for all outlets to maximize profitability and guest experience.
Ensure all outlet assets, materials and communications align with outlet brand standards and strategies.
Implement effective cost control measures for beverage and labor among all outlets.
Monitor the Food and Beverage budget to ensure efficient operation and that expenditures stay within budget Work across all departments to develop and execute food and beverage programs, experiences & promotions resort wide to support the overall Resort experience, brand and financial objectives.

Promote and ensure full adherence to Forbes Five STAR standards to actively contribute to achieving and retaining Forbes Five STAR status.
Continuously evaluate all elements of the guest experience and customer satisfaction data of the individual outlets.
Recommend new operating procedures or structured training whenever a change in demand, customer satisfaction, or a change in competitive environment requires such changes.
Investigate and actively resolve food quality and service complaints.
Direct Outlet Managers to monitor and respond to all social media and guest feedback.
Work with all Outlet leaders to ensure compliance with all policies and procedures relates to Food and Beverage, as well as local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Ensure all outlet areas are maintained at the highest level of cleanliness, sanitation, maintenance and safety.
Enforce 100% compliance with the regulations of the Massachusetts Alcoholic Beverage Commission.
Recruit, train, supervise, develop, discipline and counsel outlet management and team members according to policies and procedures.
Participate in the development of the annual budget Develop short and long term financial operating plans.
Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Food and Beverage, Hotel Manager and/or General Manager.
Requirements:
Organized, detailed oriented, and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Bachelor's degree in hospitality, Restaurant, Foodservice or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience Proficient wine and beverage knowledge ServSafe Certification Strong computer skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), including computer-based cash handling experience.
Proficient written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Strong POS operational and programming experience Knowledge of government health, hotel, or food service regulations Operational financial management accountability and budgeting experience Five (5) years management experience in multi-unit food and beverage operations including upscale/fine dining experience.
Experience in training staff in service standards such as Forbes is a plus.
