Latham Centers compassionately and creatively helps children and adults with complex special needs, including Prader-Willi Syndrome, to lead meaningful, abundant lives. We are currently looking for qualified Adult / Children's 1:1 Counselors.
The Special Education Aide assists students in developing their educational, social, emotional, and behavioral skills Reporting directly to the Special Education Teacher and the Day Coordinator. The Special Education Aide has direct, active, constructive participation with students/individuals. He/she will have active cooperation with teachers, clinical and ancillary staff and must maintain active cooperation with co-workers, clinical staff, medical staff, ancillary staff, community members, families, and supervisors.
The ideal candidate for this position has Bachelor's Degree in education, psychology, or related field preferred. Experience in teaching, human services or behavior management preferred. A valid Massachusetts driver's license is required. Fluent English speaking and writing skills, empathy and the ability to listen, good time management skills, and professional appearance and demeanor are all required for this position.
Monday- Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. 40 hoursEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
